Our culture inundates us with images of people enjoying vitality, youth, and pleasure. From pop idols and celebrities to the hand picked and touched up social media post we choose to post, we strive to portray life as a party. We fantasize what life would be like to be so perfect. What we don't see portrayed is the cost of life spent in the spotlight. Those who sell themselves for the adoring fans pay the consequences. The fun leaves. The party ends. The high comes down. The skin that once told such an infatuating story now reveals the wear and tear and pain.
All along God has been and continues to call for us to return to Him and find the love and hope we've been looking for.
